Carewatch Management Team

In 2008, Carewatch was purchased from Nestor Healthcare and a new management team put in place.

	Phil Pegler Phil is the Chief Executive Officer of Carewatch Care Services Ltd and has over 17 year's operational multi-site leadership across 3 sectors; hospitality, acute healthcare and domiciliary care. Prior to joining Carewatch, Phil was managing director of the largest private provider of acute care hospitals, BMI Healthcare and therefore has extensive knowledge and experience of delivering care to the exacting standards of the CQC, clients and patients. He led BMI healthcare on providing significant services to the NHS equating to approximately 6,500 cases per month and is experienced in seeking and delivering innovative ways of providing care to vulnerable people and delivering an uncompromised quality service that individuals within the organization feel proud of.

	Martin Farrow Martin Farrow is the Marketing Director for Carewatch and has been involved in the social and health sector for more than 16 years previously holding positions with hospital at home specialists Clinovia, Bupa and Sunrise Medical. His experience spans many areas including social care, primary and secondary healthcare and nursing homes. Martin joined Carewatch in 2009 as part of the senior management team to develop new market opportunities and ensure that the Carewatch brand is recognised throughout the UK as the provider of choice for home care and support.

	Paul Steadman Paul worked for KPMG for 11 years where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He has since worked in a commercial environment as financial controller for over 10 years, most recently at Bupa Home Healthcare, a company providing home healthcare.

	Kevin Jezzard Kevin Jezzard is the Director of IT for Carewatch and has been involved in the home healthcare market for the last 17 years previously holding positions with Caremark, Clinovia, Guardian homecare & Bupa. His experience spans both IT and telecoms in a technical and project management capacity, from scope to implementation and working with strategic partners. Kevin joined Carewatch in November 2009 as part of the senior management team to develop the IT and telecoms strategy.

	Carol Vickers Carol has worked in the health and social care sectors for over 25 years, in both the public and private sectors. In 1995 Carol set up a new domiciliary care business, Always There Homecare, growing the business up to 8,000 hour s per week across nine branches. In 2007 Always There Homecare acquired Jane Bowen Nursing Services which provides nursing and care services in Shropshire. Following the acquisition of these companies by Carewatch in December 2009, Carol joined the Carewatch senior management team as Sales Director, with direct responsibility for the tendering and contracting business, and also to work with the sales team in growing the company owned branch hours.

	Mike Horgan Mike stepped down from his full time role of COO in December 2010 but remains very much part of the business going forward as a part-time consultant, providing guidance and support to the network.
