Our Wiltshire carers

Our Wiltshire carers' approach to home care is both dedicated and reliable...

Jessica Walder our Care Manager, has been working for Carewatch for over 12 years and is passionate about providing the highest quality care.  Jessica takes a very hands on approach and is often seen out visiting our customers, ensuring that the care they receive is meeting her high expectations.

Wiltshire carers

During her 12 years with Carewatch, Jessica has built up an experienced and reliable team around her. Jessica’s team consists of:

Leah Walder, Care Coordinator; 11 years service with Carewatch
Claire Prosser, Care Coordinator; 9 years service with Carewatch
Sue Taylor, Field Care Supervisor; 3 years service with Carewatch
Alice Brailey, Field Care Supervisor; 2.5 years service with Carewatch
Shirley Warren, Care Trainer; 9 years service with Carewatch
Tina Hale, Finance Manager; 6 years service with Carewatch

We have a very loyal and experienced team; this is reflected in their length of service with us.

Our care workers

Our Wiltshire carers make a real difference in the lives of our customers, they have the same care workers visit them at the same time each visit; continuity of care is very important in the service we provide. Our care worker team is made up of people of all ages, although our care team is predominately women, we do have a small team of male carers.

We have a mix of experienced Wiltshire carers, the average length of service with Carewatch being 6 years and we have 16 members of staff with over 10 years service.

Our staff come from different backgrounds and their previous jobs are just as varied.  We have people that used to work in supermarkets, or factories, and we have one that was previously a conveyancing solicitor.

Many of our care workers and support staff , have or are currently caring for relatives, this experience helps them hold a better understanding of what the customer, and their relatives are going through.

When we ask our staff why they decided to come into care, the majority said that they wanted to do a job that was both rewarding and enjoyable.

Training and development

Since March 2006, we've held the Investors in People accreditation, and this means that we invest in our staff, they are what we do, so they are very important to us, and to our customers.  We have three annual reviews to maintain this accreditation and have done so to date.

We believe that we provide the best training programme, this has been affirmed to us via the feedback to us by both our own staff and the unpaid carers that have attended our training too.

Training testimonials

"Excellent. Would be happy to let people know the pride that is taken in presentation within Carewatch. Well done, I came out of care for a break, but would be happy to return and work with such a caring company in the community."

"Really informative and well run. Lots of helpful emergency tips for the future."

"These courses were both excellent. Having rather dreaded the first day, I came away so much better informed and really looked forward to the second training day. It is inspirational to learn from such top professionals in such a friendly environment. They mixed the hands on learning with talks from personal experience and knowledge, excellent slides/video presentations. Carewatch carers clearly enjoy their work and have a real team spirit. Plenty of humour and energy. Shirley and Dawn are amazing!"
