CARE CO-ORDINATOR
The main task of the Care Coordinator is the allocation of care calls to care workers; there maybe more than one Care Coordinator needed, depending on the amount of hours of care the office provides.
Care workers are assigned to service users, according to Carewatch policies and procedures, and the Care Coordinator then works to ensure that all care calls are filled when there are times of staff sickness or holiday.
The initial recruitment procedure may also be the responsibility of the Care Coordinator - they interview prospective care workers working to Carewatch guidelines, and follow up references according to the regulatory processes.
A Care Coordinator is also a vital link to care workers, as they run payroll, and deal with any wage queries. Invoicing and queries with invoices also fall under the Care Coordinators remit.
All prospective care coordinators must have prior experience of providing care.
