An exciting vacancy has opened up for an organised, enthusiastic team player to join Carewatch Wyvern, a leading supplier of social care in Taunton Deane.

Applicants should have a strong background in social care and a proven track record in managing and growing a business as we have ambitious targets to continue developing the company. This growth is targetted to come from broadening the Service Users groups with whom we work, and expanding our geographical area of operation.

Reporting to the MD, the successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of our high quality care service, and will look after the best interests of all our Service Users and valued staff.

Candidates should hold an NVQ 4 Registered Managers Award (or equivalent). If the successful candidate doesn't hold this qualification then they will be expected to undertake this upon appointment.

The position is subject to obtaining an Enhanced CRB disclosure and the receipt of excellent references.

JOB TITLE : Care Manager
REPORTS TO : Managing Director
SUMMARY OF POST : Responsible for the day-to-day running of the office.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Accountable to the MD
2. Ultimate responsibility for all staff.
3. To ensure successful operation of quality control systems.
4. To ensure that all computerised and manual records are up to date.
5. Implementation of complaints procedure.
6. To liase with service users/relatives and Social Workers.
7. Preparation of management reports.
8. Ensure training needs of all staff are met effectively.
9. To work within agreed budgets to ensure profitability of business.
10. To actively participate in the growth and development of the business, locally, through various marketing exercises.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Essential

Management experience of service provision in the care profession.
Registered managers will be required to achieve the Registered Managers Award, if not already obtained.

Desirable

Experience of business management and/or appropriate qualification.
