Leading home care provider Carewatch held their annual franchisee conference in Chester on May 13-14. With 100+ delegates, the conference was addressed by Dr James Kingsland, the DoH's national clinical commissioning network lead for England who chaired an open discussion on GP commissioning.

The conference closed with an awards ceremony to recognise individual’s providing outstanding care services. Frances & Stephen Cooper of Carewatch South Warwickshire won the final of the national competition and were amongst a number of other winners from across the UK in an evening which celebrated Carewatch’s continued business growth.

Carewatch has over 150 offices nationwide providing a full spectrum of care and support including practical, personal, specialist and health-related support to Local Authorities, the NHS and private clients, and all within the comfort of their own homes or communities.

The annual conference has been running for over ten years and provides an excellent opportunity for Carewatch and its franchisees to share knowledge, best practice techniques, and network with other industry professionals whilst having some fun in the process.

Carewatch also held a charity auction at the conference which raised over £2,000 for the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund; a charity that offers financial support, advice and guidance to current, former and retired care workers.
