Carewatch Sponsors Awards Evening for Wiltshire Charity Alzheimer’s Support

01 August 2011

Fundraisers, volunteers and staff were recognised at the first-ever awards evening for Wiltshire, held on 15th July at Bradford on Avon’s Leigh Park Hotel.

The Trowbridge-based charity Alzheimer’s Support provides help for sufferers and their carers. They are 21 this year and decided to mark the occasion by recognising some of the essential work that people do.

Awards were given in six categories including; innovation, outstanding fundraising and outstanding volunteer.

Anna Littlechild, who has led the charity since it began, was given a special award in recognition of her long service and commitment at the ceremony. Sue Dodd of Melksham won the award for outstanding volunteer, for all her work with the charity’s Singing for the Brain choir programme.
