Scott Christie

Scott joins Carewatch with many years of experience in the home care sector, formally as Executive Chairman at ILS, a Scottish based domiciliary care provider. Scott and his team built up ILS to be the leading Independent Community Care provider in the Scottish market, which was successfully sold to Mears PLC in 2013. Scott qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with Coopers & Lybrand. Since then he has enjoyed a career that has included 10 years in Finance and Strategic planning with Diageo, 6 years with Macdonald Hotels as Group FD and then Chief Operating Officer. Since 2005, Scott has worked predominantly with Private Equity backed businesses in both Chief Executive and Chairman positions.

Joint Managing Director

Craig Hendry

Craig has over 20 years of experience in senior finance roles within Health & Social Care businesses and particularly domiciliary care. He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and has worked in a number of private equity backed businesses including being FD of ILS during a period of significant expansion leading to its sale to Mears Care in 2013. Most recently he was CFO at Carewatch and while retaining responsibility for finance matters will have broader remit in his role as Joint MD of the business.

Joint Managing Director

Kevin Nutt

Kevin comes to CSN in succession to 5 years at Carewatch Care Group before transferring through the recent MBO. He is responsible for key senior management areas in CSN alongside Craig Hendry. Kevin has 20 years’ experience in social care, working across different service groups, in diverse settings and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Kevin worked in the legal profession previously for 20 years.

Neil Wilson

As Head of Franchise, Neil consults with our Franchise owners to define their business goals and to advise and support their strategies to achieve them; Supporting our Franchise owners and helping them to grow their businesses, their people and themselves. With a wealth of experience in business management gained within large global companies, running his own successful employment and training companies and more recently at Carewatch supporting recruitment, business development and operations with qualifications in Accounting, HR, Project and Business Management, Neil thrives when developing our people and seeing them flourish as they grow. Neil also supports the expansion of the Carewatch franchise network, identifying prospective owner-operators who share our values about quality care and works closely with prospective Franchisees while they are evaluating the business opportunity, ensuring they receive all the information they need, including access to existing franchisees

Head of Quality and Compliance, Data Protection Officer

Val Malley

Val has worked in the care sector for 25 years, after graduating as a mature student in Sociology and Social Policy and pursuing her interest in the community care system by joining a local care company as a care worker and soon progressed to Co-ordinator, Training Manager and Service Manager to become the senior management in quality and compliance. Later joining a care home group 15 years later but coming back to care at home after 2 years

Head of Learning and Development

Jayne Young

As the Head of Learning and Development for CSN, Jayne has key responsibilities for developing and implementing learning strategies and programs, and designing e-learning courses and workshops. Jayne began her career in Health and Social care in 1997 in the residential care sector.  She later commenced employment for Carewatch Care Services in 2013 and has held various roles in Carewatch including the role of a Regional Director and Operational support.

Head of IT

Sathees Kanna

Sathees (known as Kay) joins CSN with many years of experience within the sector. Prior to CSN, Kay worked at Carewatch Care Services Ltd for over 11 years and was instrumental in a number of key projects resulting in transferring the business to fully integrated mobile solutions allowing real time transfer of data.  Kay studied at University of Brighton and qualified with a degree in BSc (Hons) Internet Business Computing.  As Head of IT for CSN, Kay is responsible for overseeing the use of technology throughout the organisation, including its development and implementation.

Procurement Manager and Executive PA

Sarah Percival

Sarah joins CSN following four successful years at Carewatch Care Services Ltd, implementing Care contracts within the Carewatch teams as well as looking after the Senior Management team in the role of Executive PA. Sarah brings with her a wealth of Procurement knowledge across a variety of industries, ensuring we make the best buying decisions for our business.

Financial Controller

Gemma Nevin

Gemma began her career at Grant Thornton, one of the world’s largest professional accounting services networks as a statutory auditor, working with a wide range of clients across retail, manufacturing and service industries, qualifying with the ACCA in 2012. She joined Carewatch Care Services Ltd in Jan 2016 as Head of Accounting and moved across to CSN as Financial Controller at the beginning of 2019 taking responsibility for all day to day finance matters within the business.

Marketing Executive

Sarah Gorlov

With over 20 years’ experience, Sarah’s background as a content marketing consultant has helped her work with a variety of large UK companies to create marketing strategies that help brands create better relationships through social media, content marketing, visual storytelling and public relations. This experience has lent itself to her current role at CSN where she drives and executes all CSN’s marketing initiatives both for offline and online marketing.
