Two Carewatch employees have made the London and East of England regional finals of this year’s prestigious Great British Care Awards, upholding the company’s reputation for supplying first class home care.
Stanley Oparaocha a (London) and Paul Saunders (East of England) are in the running for Home Care Worker of the Year and Newcomer of the Year awards respectively. Carewatch managers nominated the two for providing consistently high standards of care, being kind and attentive towards clients, and showing an enormous overall commitment to their work. Winning an award would be a massive achievement for Stanley or Paul.
Stanley, 57, has worked at Carewatch Kingston since 2007. He previously worked as a counsellor for a victim support group in Southwark, London. Paul joined the Ipswich branch just six months ago and proved himself in just a few short weeks, winning fantastic feedback from both clients and colleagues.
Taking place across nine UK regions, the Great British Care Awards celebrate excellence across the care sector and pay tribute to those going above and beyond the call of duty at work. Winners of the regional finals will progress to the national finals, to be held next summer at London’s Royal Courts of Justice.
Lisa Carr, a Director of the Great British Care Awards, is delighted by the standard of entries this year: “We are truly heartened to receive such an overwhelming response to our care awards. The scheme offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the success of individuals, teams and businesses throughout the UK – people who really do make a positive impact on people’s lives. The quality the finalist’s is extremely high and we are looking forward to what promises to be a superb awards evening.”
