It is no secret that many people do not have family and friends and have to celebrate Christmas alone. This can affect people of all ages, however many of the older generation are left feeling isolated and alone over the Christmas period.
For some of our customers Carewatch Care and Support workers are the only people they see on a daily basis. To some of our customers we are their support, family and friend.
This Christmas our Brighton office are going that extra mile for our customers who will not see anybody over Christmas and four of our customers will receive wonderful handmade hampers that were made by the Brighton team.
Susan Knight, Branch Manager said;
“Our dedicated Brighton team wanted to give a little extra this Christmas, so with a little team effort we have made this happen.
As a new manager it was important to ensure that all our care calls were covered this Christmas, ensuring quality throughout, but also getting the team involved in supporting our customers. Together we chose four customers who have no family and who are receiving care calls with no other contact over the Christmas period. Christmas is a difficult time and giving a little of our time, commitment and a gift has minimal cost and we felt this was a way of giving someone a touch of Christmas from all the team at Brighton.”
