Carewatch Kingston was recognised for three awards at the Carewatch Franchise conference
The awards recognise exceptional achievements in home care and offer an opportunity to share knowledge and best practice techniques, network with other industry professionals and have some fun in the process.
In the Team Member of the Year category, competition was fierce but Khalid Shuban stood above the rest for managing the cash flow of the business and having a positive impact on the coordination of care. He has become a firm favourite of the team and customers.
Khalid says: “I am delighted to win this award and would like to thank my fellow staff members at Carewatch Kingston for their support and encouragement.
“The job is hugely rewarding and sometimes very challenging, so it is great to get this recognition.”
Franchisee of the Year was awarded to Carewatch Kingston for overcoming some tough challenges and expanding its private pay base of customers.
Finally, Merva Blake was commended for the professional way she handles customers and her infectious enthusiasm for care earned her a Care & Support Worker of the Year (South) finalist’s certificate.
Seymour McLeod, Registered Care Manager of Carewatch Kingston who picked up the Franchisee of the Year award on the night, comments: “In Khalid and Merva we have a deserved winner and finalist of these awards.
“We always emphasise hiring highly capable staff and they epitomise the attributes and values we treasure.”
